This Privacy Policy explains how JY Concepts (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use everyinstrument.com (the “Site”). JY Concepts is based in New York, USA. Questions: hello@everyinstrument.com.

What we collect

• Nothing you type in. The Site has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no comments. Searching for a song happens inside your browser and is never sent to us.
• Visit statistics. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views, referring sites, countries and browser types. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you personally.
• Technical data. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the Site and protect it from attacks.
• Your settings. The key you last chose for a song in the player is saved in your own browser and never sent to us.
• The player. When you press Play, your browser downloads instrument sound samples from a public sound library. Nothing about you is sent to us.
• Emails you send us. If you write to us, we keep your message and address to reply.

We don’t collect payment details. Please don’t send us sensitive personal information.

Children

The Site is written for parents, teachers and adult learners, and children often play its songs with them. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13: there are no accounts, forms or tracking cookies, and no advertising or third-party trackers. If a child has emailed us, a parent can ask us to delete the message and we will.

How we use it

To run, protect and improve the Site, to answer your messages, and to meet legal obligations. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, our legal basis is our legitimate interests (security, statistics and replying to you).

Who we share it with

Only with service providers that help us run the Site (Cloudflare), when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or transfer of the Site. We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising

There are no ads on the Site. If that changes, we will update this policy and our Cookie Policy first, and where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) we will ask for your consent before any advertising cookies are used.

How long we keep it

Visit statistics are kept only in aggregate. We keep emails as long as we need them to reply. Cloudflare keeps technical logs for a limited time under its own policies.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and object to how we use it. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you have the right to know, correct and delete your personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing; we don’t sell or share it, and we won’t treat you differently for using these rights. Email hello@everyinstrument.com and we will reply within 30 days.

Where your data is processed

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the US and other countries.

Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will say so on the Site.
